Who is Rickson Gracie?

Undefeated in his career, Rickson earned the black belt from his father, Helio Gracie, at eighteen. For two decades, he reigned as Jiu-Jitsu's absolute champion. He moved to America in 1989 to help his brother Rorion establish their first Jiu-Jitsu academy in California. Rickson won Japan's premier fighting tournament, the Japan Open Vale-Tudo, in 1994 and 1995, both times finishing three opponents in a single night. He returned to Japan to submit Nobuhiko Takada in 1997 and 1998, and Masakatsu Funaki in 2000. After retiring without any losses in 2006, Rickson focused on spreading the essence of Jiu-Jitsu, and he is currently the president of the Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation.
